I credit all that I do to God. He’s given me a gift to love painting and a drive to want to learn and improve. I love this world He has made, Love its landscapes, love its people, love its stories. It doesn’t matter whether the subject matter I paint for the day is something extraordinary or seemingly ordinary, I enjoy taking the time to try and understand it, and create an interpretation of it with color experiments and playing with paint. I just want to continue to improve upon myself, my skills, my painting, my storytelling. So whenever I pick up a paintbrush it’s always the prayer let me be the vessel in which you are glorified whatever the result is, and not just how I perform with paint that day, in how I conduct myself, how I carry myself, and interact with others. Regardless of what happens, whether I make something I feel is good, or not, he’s going to get the praise through me.
